What is next

I am about to face another new milestone in my life. For the first time ever I am about to become unemployed. Other then for a brief period after my dad passed away, I have not known where I would be going to work. I have always felt very blessed that when I needed a job God was able to provide me one. Yet even now I know He has a job already planned out for me. I feel very fortunate that for the last 6 months I have had an incredible opportunity to work for a really fun company in Eugene. I have been since September on a temp assignment through Accountemps working at Emerald People's Utility District. It was originally a job that was supposed to end in November or December, then got extended into January, then the end of February, and just when I thought it was about to end they needed me for one more week. I have tried not to think about what is coming, but with all the doom and gloom in the news these days, reality is starting to sink in.

But then as I was driving home tonight a song played that reminded me that once again reminded me that I don't need to fear the future and how thankful I am to know that God is in control.

Newsboys - Lord (i Don't Know)

You are the author of knowledge
You can redeem what's been done
You hold the present and all that's to come
Until your everlasting kingdom

chorus:
Lord I don't know where all this is going
or how it all works out
lead me to peace that is past understanding
A peace beyond all doubt

You are the God of tomorrow
Turning the darkness to dawn
Lifting the hopeless with hope to go on
You are the rock of all salvation

chorus

Ohh Lord, you are the author
Redeeming what's been done
You hold us in the present
And all that is to come

Lord we don't know where all this is going
Or how it all works out
Lead us to peace that is past understanding
A peace beyond all doubt
