1st Wedding Party

The company I work for, Schmitt Industries, threw a Going Away/Getting Married party for Brian and I yesterday. It was so much fun. Brian of course was required to be there and it was fun to have him there.



This is Patty our Office Manager, she put together such a wonderful spread, the food was very yummy.

I was asked to choose what kind of food I wanted and last year we had a BBQ at lunch time that was so much fun, so I requested that we BBQ again. David was so gracious to bring in his BBQ and cook all the food.

David BTW also happens to be a former college roommate of Brian's. Of course I did not know that when I went to work at Schmitt. We discovered that last summer when Brian joined me at a company dinner and he and David spotted each other. They had not seen each other in 20 years. Such a small world. At the party yesterday Brian told people that he knew I was the one he was supposed to marry after that event. It was obvious that God had truly brought us together.

Some of my coworkers. I have really enjoyed this job and everyone is so pleasant to work with. I will miss all of them.

Of course after we got done eating we got to practice cutting the cake. The group wanted us to feed each other cake, but I think we will save that event for the real wedding.

Ironically this party fell on the 1 month mark from our real wedding.
