A Few Pictures

I love springtime and all the new blooming flowers and everything look so new and fresh. This spring I haven't taken nearly as many pictures, mostly because I have been busy with wedding stuff and work. And the weather here has been so weird it hasn't really been all that conducive to getting out and taking pictures. But we have had some fairly decent evenings this week so I got out with the camera.

In the backyard at my mom's is a very old very large cherry tree. It is loaded with blossoms right now...I hope that means lots of cherries in a few months.

Spot always has some story he has to tell me. Whenever I am outside taking pictures he can usually be found close under foot. Although trying to photograph him can be difficult. In this picture I think he was unhappy because it was so wet and cold outside. He really wants summer to come so he can lounge in the yard and roll in the dirt and become a brown cat again. With the nice weather over the weekend, he started getting a start on his summer brown tan.

Somehow a few years ago we ended up with Lupin in a couple of flower pots. Not sure how it got there but I sure love it early in the spring, especially right after it rains. It captures drops of rain so beautifully.

When I zoomed in closer on the above picture I couldn't believe all the detail in the reflection, including the clouds in the sky.

My mom has some amazing peonies growing the the front yard this year. And they are huge. I planted one of these in Brian's front yard and hopefully next spring we will have the same flowers blooming outside our bedroom window.

My mom's hand in comparison to one of the flowers.

And finally, a silly cat pictures. My 3 cats have all decided that they like sleeping on the dinning room table on towels. Of course you would never catch all 3 there at the same time. Spot was only there briefly and sitting as far away from the girls as possible since they might both pounce on him at any moment.

This weekend I am going down to Brian's and if the weather is as nice as they say it is going to be we are going to try and get out and get some exercise with our cameras in tow. Of course there will also be more painting to do. I am hoping to get the hallway done and the shelves that go in the spare room.
