Found It !!!!

Tori and I went out to a bridal shop in Beaverton today and I found my dress!!! I had a couple of people recommend this place to me, but this time instead of just showing up I called ahead to find out if they had a dress that would fit my requirements. Unlike other places that gave me generic answers and told me to just come in, this place actually went and checked their inventory and then told me they had a dress that sounded like it would work.

So we went out there today and I love it. It is beautiful. Simple, but elegant. And NOT strapless!!! And the best part - I can buy the dress off the rack and it will need very little alteration- it fit perfectly and if I lose a little weight between now and the wedding all the better, and it is 50% off. I am taking my mom on Wednesday to give it one final look before I actually purchase it. But I know it is the one.

Sorry, but I can't post any pictures because Brian and I are in agreement that he can't see the dress until our wedding day. And I think I will just leave it as a surprise for everyone. :) But I am glad that I am very close to crossing that off my list.

Now to find some bridesmaid dresses. I am looking for something that can be worn again and both people in my bridal party want something conservative to wear, which I totally respect. All of the dresses at the bridal shops are way to fancy and way to expensive. Today Tori and I walked through Washington Square Mall and it is amazing that small inventory of dresses that are in stores now. And what they do have is either too casual, to old lady looking or too formal. I was hoping with Easter coming that the selection would be greater, but I guess dress wearing is becoming less and less popular. But I know, like with my dress, we will find something and it will be beautiful and elegant.
