Brian and I went to the Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR on Labor day this year. What a fun day. If you want to check out their web page it is:

It is the only drive thru wild life park in the Northwest and WOW!!! So many animals and so many that you can get very very close to. We had Emu's come right up to the car window. And were within feet of bears and buffalo. I went a little crazy with the camera so if you have the time I have included a slide show of the pictures that I took. You are allowed to drive thru the park twice so we went once in the morning when we got there and then later in the afternoon after having lunch and visiting the village portion of the park.
While in the village we got to catch the end of the elephant show and even was able to go up and touch the elephants. In case you have never petted an elephant, they have very furry skin. I tried my best to get some close up shots of them.
